Iqra Fund Welcomes Kathryn Everett to the Board of Directors

Iqra Fund is thrilled to welcome Kathryn Everett to our Board of Directors. Kathryn has been working for the past decade as a humanitarian and social justice advocate. Her experience has brought her from organizing rural communities in the southwest on behalf of President Barack Obama to her most recent role as the Chief Operating Officer of Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ), a non-profit organization that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty around the world. In 2017, Kathryn was inspired to visit Pakistan and document the work of Iqra Fund. Her trip showcased firsthand the challenges Iqra Fund's students are facing, and the incredible strength, passion, and resilience this next generation of leaders possesses. Kathryn's years working on the ground in Haiti coupled with her perspective as a fundraiser working with some of the most high-profile philanthropists on the planet provide her with a unique lens through which to view change -- and the unique ability to be a powerful advocate for it.
